Matt Neal has been crowned the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship champion
after finishing ahead of teammate Gordon Shedden and avoiding potential incidents with an on-fire Rob Austin and a fiesty Frank Wrathall. The Honda Racing team driver was emotional after claiming his third drivers championship and helping Honda Racing Team to win both the overall and manufacturers team championships. The final podium of the year consisted of Team Aon driver Tom Chilton, cementing a great end to the season for the new Global Ford Focus with a win. Outgoing 2010 champion Jason Plato claimed second place ahead of an ecstatic Tom Boardman, tasting podium champagne for the third time this season. Fastest laps went to James Thompson and Alex MacDowall. It's been a season of thrills, drama, surprises and occasional fallouts...but mostly 2011 has seen some epic, heart-stopping, tantilising racing - that's BTCC people, see you for more of the same next year!
