Husqvarna Nuda 900R Street Bike Following many rumours and teases the covers have come off new Husqvarna street bike and it looks well worth the wait.

BMW bought up the off road specialists and have obviously given them a sizeable bank balance to play with, and importantly the freedom to put their talents to good use.

The Nuda 900R uses an upgraded variant of the BMW F800 parallel twin that is claimed to produce more than 100 horsepower from its 900cc increased capacity.  A closer look at the technical specs show a Sachs fully adjustable 48mm inverted fork, with an Ohlins single shock, also fully adjustable, and much needed Brembo radial mount, monoblock calipers.  Dry weigh is claimed to be below 175 kg making for a handsomely powered machine to tear up the streets with.

It's good to see the Nuda 900R able to make the most of BMW's experience and technical expertise without loosing Husqvarna's character which was a fear when they were absorbed into the German behemoth.

Their distinctive styling is all over this bike and gives a little bit of an Austrian Superduke had a dirty weekend in Bavaria feel!  I predict many penalty points being added to bike licenses thanks to the fun to be had with this Husky : )
