With 1170cc's delivering 80kW to it's Tasmanian Oak carbon tipped rotor blades, the Hoverbike's creator Chris Malloy estimates it can cruise at 10,000 feet at 173mph. Working on the same principle as the famous Chinook helicopter, with its counter-rotating rotors cancelling out each rotor's torque reaction, a twist and go of the throttle will add a whole new dimension to your average track day or blast through the countryside. The finishing touches to the design to enable a first flight are due in the next few months promising a wild ride for the first test rider, or pilot.By Nick Moore Worth Checking - Motorsport News - F1 News
