The SBK Race Direction (Mr. Igor Eskinja - FIM Representatives, Mr. Guinlio Bardi - Team Representative and Mr. Paolo Ciabatti - Infront Motor Sports Representative) asked the FIM SBK Technical Director to conduct a random inspection on the crankshafts of some SBK racing motocycles during the British Round at Silverstone.

The Inspection was carried out on motorcycles from the Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team (Aprilia RSV4 1000), Yamaha World Superbike Team (Yamaha YZF R1) and Althea Racing (Ducati 1098R) in the afternoon of Saturday 30 July.

The crankshafts of all three motorcycles were found to perfectly comply with the 2011 FIM Technical Regulations.
