Kia has released sketches of their all-new range topping sedan which the Korean automaker anticipates will set “new standards for design flair in the large sedan segment.”
Internally identified as the KH, the new flagship model will also be Kia’s first rear-wheel drive sedan and promises to combine innovative design with high-tech features.
Kia’s goal for the sedan’s design was to provide it with ’distinctive, modern and classic’ styling that combines with their existing design philosophy to enable the KH to stand out from the crowd.
The new model will feature a bold front-end design to reflect its luxury car role with the profile being a key focus for Kia’s designers during development. A simple side character line aims to give a spacious feel and highlight the design; the rear will feature high-tech rear combination lamp clusters with chrome surround.
Due to be launched in Kia’s home Korean market in the Spring with international roll-outs to be confirmed. Commenting on this important new model, Soon-Nam Lee, Kia’s Director of the Overseas Marketing Group said, “Our all-new flagship sedan integrates all of our key capabilities such as design, performance, high-tech features and infotainment into one striking model. Although launch timings for overseas markets are yet to be confirmed, this all-new rear-wheel drive large sedan will definitely become the leading model of our line-up around the world, showcasing the best of the best of Kia.” By James Foreman
