At the age of 8 my dad got me into Kart Racing! At the age of 12 I owned my own Formula TKM and raced at various circuits in Britain, till the age of 17.
During my Karting career I achieved many trophies for the top 3 podium positions!
At the age of 17 I raced in the Rallycross Championship, in the same car Vikki Butler Hendersone drove on the Fifth gear programme. My first race, I won the B final. After that I had some other good results.
Then in 2008 I finally got into what i really wanted to do, having a passion for most things Volkswagen, it was inevitable I should find a Championship where I could race one!
The Golf GTI Championship and the VAG Championship is where i have progressed to so far in my racing career. I Own and race a Mark 2 16V Golf GTI, and with the help of Saxon Motorsport,I achieve great things. I won my class in the VAG Championship, and I am always amongst the top 10 in the Golf GTI Champ. I have had instruction from the likes of Charlie Butler Henderson and a few others. I have been asked to race for an upcoming team, possibly next year, racing a Lotus Elise.
I hope the future will bring great things, and I am very keen to progress into something else, i just need a few sponsors! Auto Biography from my racing team “Verity joined the Team in 2008 at the wheel of the Championship press / guest car, in her first ever national circuit Race at Brands Hatch she qualified 3rd in the wet and drove a brilliant race to beat off an ARDs instructor and finish on the podium in third. Her talent was immediately apparent to us and a slightly stunned paddock. Verity continued to run at the front throughout the season and clearly established herself as a rising young star and one of the countries fastest females. 2009 saw verity in her own, newly purchased car, a difficult season of development lay ahead however Verity proved her hardiness and learnt how to deliver feedback to the team that allowed us to move forward, in a character testing season the balance finally came at the last 2 rounds when Verity rewarded everyone’s hard work with a return to the top 6. The start of 2010 has shown that the Golf Gti Championship is now the most tightly contested single make club series with the entire top 20 lapping under a minute in qualifying at the first round on the Brands Indy circuit. Despite no pre season testing Verity placed her car in the top ten of qualifying with a personal best lap of 59.3. Two strong performances in the day’s races mean she’s in good shape to challenge for the championship this year. Having worked with numerous young drivers I personally believe we haven’t seen the best of her yet but I’m looking forward to her progression to the top this year.” Mark Lloyd Jones, Manager of Saxon Motorsport
